Nissan’s St Petersburg plant to resume production on May 18
ST. PETERSBURG, Apr 30 (PRIME) -- The plant of carmaker Nissan in Russia’s city of St. Petersburg plans to restart a two-shift production on May 18, a representative of the plant told PRIME on Thursday.
“Nissan’s plant in St. Petersburg plans to restart production on May 18 in two shifts. We will pay close attention to the level of demand on the market, which has not yet recovered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is why we don’t rule out suspending production in June in reaction to low demand and as a chance to adjust stocks. Another possible reason is the lack of components from the European plants,” the representative said.
The plan suspended operations on March 30.
